Formerly a residence for one of the historical Meiji Restoration leaders, Ikumatsu is located in front of the Takase-gawa River and Kamo-gawa River. An open-air dining area is offered during the summer season. Kyoto Shiyakusho-mae Train Station is a 2-minute walk, and Keihan Sanjo Train Station is a 3-minute walk away. Each Japanese-style room features tatami (woven-straw) flooring and a private toilet. A refrigerator, an electric kettle, and a TV are included. Most rooms are equipped with Japanese futon bedding and a private bath. The Ishin-an restaurant serves Japanese dishes for lunch. A traditional Kyoto-style multi-course dinner is available for an extra cost. Guests can request for massage services for an extra cost, or relax in the shared bath for free. Luggage storage and shoe shine services are available for all guests. Ikumatsu is a 20-minute walk from Yasaka Shrine and Heian Jingu Shrine. Sanju Sangendo Temple is a 10-minute drive away.
