Nestled at the foot of Mount Snowdon, this hostel is a former inn offering a range of accommodation. It has stunning views across Lake Llyn Cwellyn. Guests at YHA Snowdon Ranger can swim in the tranquil lake, and take a footpath from the door of the building to climb the highest mountain in Wales.The majority of rooms contain bunk beds. With free private parking, the hostel is an ideal base from which to explore Snowdonia National Park. It has a lounge for guests to relax in, a games room, and an on-site restaurant. YHA Snowdon Ranger is 30 minutes’ drive from Bangor, where guests can catch a bus from Bangor Rail Station to the hostel. Caernarfon, home of the magnificent Caernarfon Castle, is a 15-minute drive away.

Evening meals will not available to purchase at the hostel between 01 November 2016 and 10 February 2017. All guests must show a valid photo ID upon check-in. Driver’s license, passport, student ID or similarly recognised national identity cards are accepted. Please note this property does not charge an additional temporary membership fee. Discounts are not available for members of YHA (England and Wales) or IYHF as part of this booking. Group bookings: All bookings for 17 people or more cannot be accepted by YHA. Please note that towels are not included in the room rate. Guests can hire them at the property or bring their own.
