Overlooking the Västerdalälven River, this charming guest house is within 10 minutes’ drive of the popular Kläppen, Lindvallen and Sälen Ski Resorts. Guests have free access to the sauna, TV lounge and shared kitchen. The simply furnished rooms of Försgården offer views of the garden or the neighbouring pine forest. Bathroom facilities are shared. À la carte dishes are served at the on-site restaurant every evening between December and April. Light refreshments and snacks are served in Försgården’s cosy bar, which has an open fireplace. Staff at Försgården can help arrange dog sledding, snowmobile safaris and skiing as well as summer activities such as canoeing, hiking and fishing. In addition, Vasaloppet, the annual long distance cross-country ski race, starts only 400 metres away.

Bed linen and towels are included, but guests need to make the beds themelves. The restaurant is closed April-December.
