Situated in the heart of Old Portsmouth and overlooking the harbour, Fortitude Cottage is built on the site of a 16th-century cottage destroyed during WWII and named after an 18th-century warship. Portsmouth city centre can be reached in a 10-minute walk. Each room at Fortitude Cottage features an en suite bathroom, free Wi-Fi and a flat-screen TV. Some have views of the harbour and city. A traditional English breakfast is served in the modern dining room, as well as vegetarian options, smoked salmon and omelettes. The famous ships of HMS Victory, HMS Warrior and HMS Mary Rose are all within a 15-minute walk of the cottage, as well as the Royal Marines and Naval Museums.
