Set on the banks of the magnificent Mawddach Estuary, this charming hotel is immersed within the spectacular scenery of the Cader Idris and Snowdonian mountain ranges. The bedrooms are either located in the main hotel, or in the Lodge, which is a separate building on the grounds. Most of the rooms offer a TV, and some rooms have a coffee maker. After a long day of exploring the area you can return to the George’s welcoming restaurant, serving wonderful home-made food, prepared using the freshest local produce wherever possible. A haven of peace and tranquillity, George III is situated in the small hamlet of Penmaenpool which is 2.5 miles from Dolgellau and 9 miles from Barmouth. The surroundings are ideal for a host of country pursuits, including rambling, mountain biking, fishing and golfing.

Kindly note property offers WiFi in the public areas, but it is not available in the bedrooms. Due to the nature of the building, the WiFi signal can drop in some areas. Please note pets can only be accommodated in the Double and Twin rooms in the Lodge, subject to availability and by prior arrangement, and are not allowed in the main hotel.
