Situated just 20 minutes' walk from the historic city centre of York, Astley House offers budget rooms with en-suite bathrooms, free WiFi, and free onsite parking. York Train Station and the world famous Railway Museum are both within 6 minutes' drive of the property. With an eco-friendly approach, Astley House has a self-check in service and recycling options are encouraged. Towels are available to rent and high power steam cleaning is preferred, along with low chemical cleaning products. Astley House has energy saving light bulbs and waste is recycled. Astley House is ideally located for exploring York's numerous attractions. York Minster is within a 20-minute stroll. Leeds Bradford International Airport is 38 km away.

Astley House operates a supported automated self check-in system. The cardholder will need to ensure that a mobile number is provided to receive a self check-in text message sent out around 12:00 on the day of arrival. In emergencies, only the card holder can obtain the self check-in codes by calling the contact details on the booking confirmation before 20:00. A GBP 60/room security deposit plus the total amount of the booking will be charged on the day of booking. The deposit is fully refundable after check-out. Bedding is provided free of charge, but beds are not made up for environmental reasons. Guests are encouraged to bring their own bedding and reuse it. To keep room rates low and for environmental reasons, room cleaning costs are a GBP 5 per hour (GBP 10 maximum) for guests who do not want to do basic cleaning as they go along (wiping surfaces, sweeping floor and recycling). Towels are not included, but can be rented for GBP 1 per towel in rooms. Check-out is by 10:00. No luggage storage facilities are available. Astley House has no lift and some rooms are on the 3rd floor.
