Located in a quiet area of of Bowness on Windermere, Holmlea Guest House is a traditional house built from local stone. Its only a 5-minute walk to Lake Windermere, which offers cruises on the lake and scenic walks. Many specialist shops, pubs and restaurants, are a few minutes' walk from the guest house. The World Of Beatrix Potter is 5 minutes from Holmlea, while Windermere Golf Club is 2 miles away. Holmlea offers adult-only award-winning accommodation with free on site parking and free WiFi available throughout the house. All double and twin rooms are en suite and have TVs, hairdryers, tea/coffee making facilities and local area information. Some rooms have fans. The Holmlea serves a varied breakfast menu including full English, vegetarian and lighter options, made using locally sourced produce. Sandwich lunches are available for a small surcharge. The guest house can fill your drinks flask with a complimentary beverage of your choice. Holmlea has easy access to public transport with a bus stop at the end of the road and Windermere station is 1.5 miles away. Bus tours of the Lake District can be booked through Holmlea during your stay.

Holmlea Guest House does not accept bookings made using an American Express card. Luggage storage is available if Holmlea is notified in advance. The Holmlea serves a traditional Cumbrian breakfast every morning from 08.45am to 09.30am daily, made using locally sourced produce. A continental or earlier breakfast is available on request. Please note that there are no public toilets in the accommodation as every room has its own private bathroom. Guests can use the car park from 12:00 on the day of arrival.
