Just outside the village of San Paolo in the Valle d'Itria countryside, Masseria Tagliente is in a 180-hectare private grounds. It is 15 minutes' drive from Martina Franca and offers a brand-new swimming pool. The Masseria is a traditional rural estate surrounded by oak trees. It is surrounded by a low wall made of stones and includes 20 Trulli, which are stone dwellings typical of the Puglia region. Rooms have a rustic design and a private bathroom. They overlook the garden or offer a view of the rural surroundings with the sea in the distance. The Tagliente Masseria is actually a working farm with plenty of cows and horses. It has its own chapel and a sun terrace around the pool. In nearby San Polo, you can visit the butcher's and fishmonger's which become cosy places to eat in the evenings.
