This traditional-style hotel is located in Østby, a 15-minute drive from the ski slopes of Trysilfjellet. The Swedish border is 19 km away. WiFi, on-site parking and ski storage are all free. All hotel rooms have been upgraded with a new TV system with new flat-screen TVs featuring 15 channels (Norwegian, Swedish, Danish, German, English and Dutch). The modern rooms all have private bathroom facilities. Guests can dry their clothes and wax their skis in Kjølen Hotel Trysil's drying room. Kjølen’s restaurant offers à la carte dishes and a variety of drinks can be enjoyed in the full-licensed sports bar. In summer, guests can eat on the large terrace. Other facilities include a garden and a shared lounge. Fulufjellet, Sälenfjället and Stöten ski resorts are within 25 minutes’ drive. Many kilometers of cross-country ski tracks are found right by the hotel. Snowmobile safaris and dog sledding can be enjoyed in the winter.
